We have recently received notification from CMS that any claim we submit for payment for durable medical equipment that you order on behalf of your Medicare patients (including diabetes testing supplies, insulin pumps and pump supplies) will soon be denied, unless you have an up-to-date enrollment in Medicare’s PECOS (Provider Enrollment, Chain and Ownership System) system before July 6, 2010.
If PECOS does not have a valid and completed enrollment for you on file prior to July 6th, any claims submitted on behalf of your patients after that date will be denied. Please help us avoid any disruptions to the treatment and services your Medicare patients receive and visit www.cms.gov today and follow the step-by-step instructions.
We appreciate your assistance in this important matter!
