Tom Cronin, Chief Executive Officer
Tom was formerly the CEO and owner of CranBarry, Inc., an established manufacturer and distributor of women's sporting goods. During Tom's tenure, the firm more than doubled in size, attained healthy profitability, and became the dominant supplier of field hockey equipment in the country. Prior to that, Tom worked at Bain & Company, the international strategy consulting firm headquartered in Boston. He is a graduate of Amherst College and MIT's Sloan School of Management, where he was a Seley Scholar.
Bill Haylon, Chairman
Bill has founded and led two companies, focusing each time on streamlining fragmented "low tech" industries. Sterling Autobody Centers, Inc. was a chain of highly modern collision repair stores in 7 states which progressed from start-up to over $100 million in annual sales before ultimately being acquired by Allstate Insurance. Before You Move, Inc. was a call center based moving services company purchased by Monster.com. Previously, Bill also worked at Bain & Company. He is a graduate of Williams College and Harvard Business School.
Kathleen Belmonte, Founder and Vice President, Clinical Care
Kathleen, is responsible for customer intake, education and clinical protocol, documentation, and insulin pump operations. A trained nurse with over 18 years of medical and clinical experience, Kathleen coordinates all efforts with referring physicians to set up the appropriate equipment and training for all new patients. Kathleen received a bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire and a masters degree in Nursing from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. She received her certification as a Diabetes Educator in 1999.
Brian Gibbs, Chief Financial Officer
Brian worked for both Price Waterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand before joining Sterling Autobody Centers as its controller and guiding the company's financial operations through a period of rapid growth. A graduate of the University of Vermont, Brian is also a CPA.
Helena Pereira, Pharmacy Director
Helena came to Neighborhood Diabetes after ten years of building and managing stores throughout the Northeast for Brooks Drugs. Prior to that, she was a graduate pharmacist for Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare. Helena is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and a certified disease manager in diabetes.
Jennifer Clark, Director of Marketing and Client Services
Jen joined Neighborhood Diabetes after successfully serving in positions in marketing at Inc. Magazine, and Cran Barry, Inc., where she was Vice President and Director of Marketing. Jen leads the marketing and client relations areas at ND. Jen is a graduate of Dartmouth College, and received her MBA from Babson College.
